Yin Yoga class with Paula

Deeply relax your body and mind. The word ‘yin’ comes from the Chinese philosophy of Taoism, where all is composed of the complementary elements of yin and yang. While yang is faster, hotter and more active, yin is slower, cooler and passive in comparison. This class features Yin poses (long held stretches - either seated or lying down) to relax the body’s deeper muscular tissue with the aim of increasing circulation to the joints and improving flexibility. The use of (optional) props will enable muscular release and relaxation. An ideal class if you are feeling stressed or fatigued or just wanting to take some quiet time out. Also a great to complement to a more dynamic or yang physical routine for some rest and recovery.
